Sommer Swim is a global swimwear brand taking the eCommerce world by storm.

Supported by a cult following that includes social media influencers such as Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and regularly featured in magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair, Sommer Swim knew it had to create a seamless digital experience to drive its next growth. We worked with their team to create and deliver an end-to-end digital strategy. Bringing the strategy to life we delivered a premium digital experience on Shopify Plus and ongoing digital marketing support. Sommer Swim saw immediate results with significant growth in traffic and revenue in the months that followed.

02 The Challenge

Sommer Swim is a luxury swimwear brand with a cult following.

Renowned for its chic European designs, Sommer Swim is loved by celebs including Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Sofia Richie and Victoria's Secret models. With its growing customer base, Sommer Swim knew it must create a seamless digital experience to drive its next growth phase and engaged us to help. The challenge was to deliver something that could grow fast with the business and service a global audience who expect a premium ecommerce experience.

03 Our Approach

A bespoke design and marketing approach to push Sommer Swim into the future.

To help Sommer Swim realise its growth potential, we undertook a marketing discovery to assess their current state capability and understand opportunities for growth. This process involved stakeholder interviews, workshops, and a 360-degree audit of Sommer Swim’s existing digital presence.

The discovery process enabled Clue to design a full digital strategy, including a sequenced roadmap of initiatives that would set Sommer Swim up for its next growth phase. 

To bring the strategy to life, we implemented a thorough paid, owned and earned media plan. This included ongoing SEO, Google Ads (PPC), and social media advertising, as well as informing the brand’s content strategy.

To improve the overall digital experience and improve conversion rate optimisation, we designed a new user interface (UI) and improved the user experience (UX). Sommer Swims existing Shopify eCommerce presence and integrations were also upgraded and ready to handle increased traffic from major markets in Asia, Australia, Europe and the United States. 

The latest Shopify Plus features and functionality were used to help increase revenue and brand loyalty. This was achieved through embedded videography, a shoppable Instagram gallery and user-generated content on product pages. 

04 The Outcome

Sommer Swim increased revenue by over 200% within six months.

The project resulted in Sommer Swim being able to provide customers with a seamless digital experience, which is scalable and ready to grow alongside the business.

The Sommer Swim site increased traffic by 46% within three months of launch. Revenue increased by 41% over the same period. Within 6-months of relaunching the site, Sommer Swim had improved its organic and paid search rankings along with its global brand presence, which has contributed to revenue growth of 248%. We can’t wait to see where this brand goes.
